There’s new art on the Town Hall Art Display Wall, and local contemporary artist Erin Newton is back for more! 🌼🍃 Her “Ghost of Little Gem” series explores shared mood and experience in nature through a Southern Gothic lens. These large-scale oil paintings shift from darkness toward light and include themes of romance, mystery, and hope.

Erin’s approach to painting emphasizes the organic qualities of oil paint, allowing the material to mirror the unpredictability and vitality of the natural world. Influenced by literature and shaped by her upbringing on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country, her work reflects themes of memory, place, and the subtle power of nature. Thanks for sharing your work with us again, Erin! 🖤💚

These works of art will only be on display for the month of June, so make sure to stop by Town Hall (2121 Cross Timbers Rd.) soon to see them! To learn more about the Town’s Art Display Walls, visit www.flowermound.gov/artdisplay.
