New art is on display at the Flower Mound Public Library! 🤩 The latest exhibit features work from AP Art students at Flower Mound High School and gives visitors a look at the early stages of their creative process.

You’ll see everything from drawing and painting to digital design and mixed media, with pieces showcasing the students’ initial ideas, experimentation, and developing skills. These early works will help shape the students’ AP Art portfolios this school year and mark the starting line of their artistic journey.

Stop by the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) during regular hours through the end of September to celebrate the bright futures of these emerging artists!

A special thank-you to local artist Nancy Lawrence, who teaches these AP Art students, for helping bring this exhibit to the Library!

There’s new art at the Flower Mound Public Library! Artists Beatrix Krell (not pictured), Yvonne Gambino, and Sylvia Stehsel have a friendship spanning fifteen years that has been intertwined with the shared joy of painting together.

Their collaborative process begins with a shared idea sketched across three separate canvases. Each artist then adds her own interpretation, style, and perspective before the three pieces are brought together to create a one-of-a-kind triptych.

Working in both oil and acrylic, their eclectic and contemporary works feature vibrant energy, bold colors, and a unique blend of individuality and connection.
If you missed this display at the Flower Mound Senior Center, this is your second chance to experience it! It will be at the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) through September.

Things are getting a little wild over at Town Hall! šŸ¾šŸ¦ These awesome animal paintings were created by local artist Charice Cooper. Raised in a highly musical and artistic family, Charice’s creativity was nurtured early on. Following a corporate career in the financial sector, she returned to art for stress relief. Within a year, her passion led her to leave the corporate world to pursue art full time.

Charice describes her collective style as contemporary realism, but she frequently integrates impressionism. While her work spans a variety of subjects, she naturally gravitates toward painting animals and uses her work as a catalyst for wildlife conservation.

Thank you for sharing these pieces with us, Charice! šŸ’™ Her work will be on display at Town Hall (2121 Cross Timbers Rd.) through the end of September. Stop by during regular hours to see them in person.
