I want to express my profound gratitude for the precious gift of life following a harrowing car accident on December 2nd at around 2 am while traveling home from working a wedding for our company Make A 360. I owe my survival to Apple's remarkable crash alert technology, which swiftly notified emergency teams and my contacts, providing them with my coordinates. A special thank you to the compassionate Mansfield resident who stood by, offering encouragement until the EMTs arrived.
The Mansfield’s emergency team on-site deserves immense praise for assuring me that everything would be okay, instilling a sense of comfort before I lost consciousness. A heartfelt appreciation goes to the resident's mom who, after my urgent call, reached out to my wife with live updates, ensuring she had the information to meet me at the ER. (I yelled out my wife’s, Lauren Quinn’s number prior to losing consciousness) #
The surgical and trauma teams who worked tirelessly on my broken ankle, hanging outside my skin, broken wrist, nose, and orbital bones, have my deepest gratitude. I am overwhelmed by the love and support from my family, friends, and my current pharmacy team and employer. Their unwavering care equipped me with the strength to endure three surgeries in ten days.
I am truly thankful that God saw fit for me to remain here, allowing me to continue purposeful work and be a devoted husband, father, family member, friend, and a human who values others. While the road to recovery will be extensive, I am confident that I am built for this journey. I’m currently back home after spending 10 days in the hospital where I didn’t receive optimal care by the nursing team. (I’ll share details soon). Before I go, thank you to the pharmacist and pharmacy team at Walgreens off Walnut Creek in Mansfield for delivering some exceptional patient care that impacted me personally following my hospital discharge. I might be critic of the company (Walgreens) but I know that there’s extreme talent working in the pharmacy.
