Lights. Camera. Write. 🎬 I’m excited to be teaching The Scriptwriter’s Workshop at the South Dallas Cultural Center in partnership with the City of Dallas Office of Arts & Culture. Every great film begins with a single page.

This four-week workshop is designed for beginner and intermediate writers who are ready to strengthen their storytelling, master screenplay structure, and bring their ideas to life. Whether you’re starting with a blank page or refining and idea you’ve had for years, you’ll leave with greater confidence as a writer and your own 5-page screenplay along with practical tools you can continue using long after the workshop ends.

Bring your laptop, notebook, pen, and creativity. We’ll take care of the rest. 🎟️ Registration is now open and spaces are limited to ensure personalized instruction and feedback. I’d love to see you there!

From artist talks and exhibitions to live drumming, Capoeira, Afro dance, Jollof Pilates, and traditional Eritrean coffee and food experiences, the South Dallas Cultural Center came alive as we celebrated the creativity, resilience, and diversity of the African diaspora.

Thank you to all of the artists, performers, community partners, volunteers, and attendees who made the day so special. 💛
