Mouth taping during sleep is never recommended by professionals.
When we created our FDA cleared Chin-Up Strips, we tested the mouth taping method and found it was a choking danger.
When one coughed during sleep the expelled air and phlegm coughed up would blast back into the throat and lungs. That caused one to "wake up" with choking issues.
That defeated the goal of maintaining comfortable deep sleep with or without Cpap when one coughed during sleep.
