YOUR life and stop worrying so much about what other people think about you.

Wear the cool outfit, start the business, post the random video, take the trip to some place new, try a new hobby, paint the windows, be WEIRD, be CREATIVE. Do the things that make YOU happy. Do the things that make you, YOU.

There will always be someone with an opinion about what you’re doing, but they aren’t the ones living your life. You are. We get one shot at this. I do what makes me happy because it is MY life. I don’t want to ever look back and realize I spent my life trying to fit into someone else’s idea of who I should be, and you shouldn’t either.

So do more of what makes you feel alive. Take the chances. Be vourself. Live life to your fullest potential. You never know where it may bring you. ❤️

“Gulfport First” was this past week’s window painting theme at Gulfport High School! The reference photo had a beachy feel, with some references towards being “first in everything.” They also wanted a Gulfport football and Pom Pom’s for the door, as well as their Championship ring. I added in the little seagull and I thought it was the cutest addition to the design. 🥰

POV: You’re painting fall windows while Mississippi is still very much in the heat of summer. I almost cried at the halfway point.. the heat index was over 100°, a wasp scared the life out of me while I was working around the bushes, AND people kept trying to get through the barriers to enter the drive-thru... on a Sunday. Abbey was not one of them, she stopped by just to give me some much-needed words of encouragement! 😂

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾 I’d love for you all to meet the one and only Coco Laveau. The sweet and sassy name behind Coco Laveau Art Co.!

Coco came into our lives in 2021, right around the beginning of all my biggest art adventures. She has been by my side as this little creative dream grew into a business, so it only felt right that it carry her name. She’s full of personality, keeps me laughing and inspires me to keep going daily!

Fun fact: Coco and I share the SAME birthday, April 2! We didn’t even realize it until we brought her home and looked at her papers. I think that was a little sign that she was always meant to be ours. 💕
