It's with a heavy heart that we are closing the physical doors of Idle Hands Craft Studio. We will still be available if you have a location, and we will travel. :) We will still carry Country Chic Paint, and we are in the process of researching antique malls to retail it at. (If you know of an awesome one, please let me know!!)

It's been such a sincere pleasure meeting all of you. It pains me to make this decision, but rents here in Cypress are more than mortgages!

An exciting twist to this is after teaching one of the tween/teen nights, I realized that I would love to be an art teacher in a school setting. I'm almost finished with my teaching certificate. :-D Hopefully, I'll be teaching this fall - fingers crossed!!!

I'll really miss all of you ladies. If you ever want a ladies night IN, don't hesitate to message me on here!!

Keep on crafting!! (Lol, I couldn't help it!)

Nobody has signed up for the Saturday ribbon display class yet, so I'm making a little change. We are opening that one up to kiddos!!! Kids in middle school or older may be dropped off, and kids younger must have a guardian present.

Idle Hands Craft Studio gives back to the community. Swim season is just about to begin. If your little one was on the team last year, you know about swim ribbons. The kids get so excited about them. We put them someplace for "safe keeping" with great intentions of displaying them "later" in some way. We have the solution! We are going to have 2 evenings of fun for parents to create a wooden sign with hooks to hang those ribbons on! 20% of profits will go back to the swim team. Our 1st two scheduled Ribbon Display nights will be for the "Coles Crocs". If requested, we can accommodate other teams as well. Just message us with a date you have in mind. (we need at least 5 for the class, and at least 10 for the 20% contribution).

Hey everybody! I'm choosing the paintline colors to offer in the shop. I'm of course doing multiple shades of ivory and grey, along with other colors. I can also create custom paint colors that are exclusive to my shop. So, do you have any ideas of paint colors YOU would love to see? (The photo is of the paint company's current paint line colors, bus again I can have them mix something just for us!!)

PS I'm working on the schedule for the classes. Expect some painting 101, advanced techniques, how to paint kitchen cabinets, etc!
