Okay… I may have a new obsession. 😂🎨

I’ve been completely hooked on painting by numbers lately, and apparently my crafty brain has decided that yarn is no longer enough. 😂

There’s something ridiculously satisfying about sitting down, finding a tiny little number, adding the color, and slowly watching the whole picture come to life.

And yes… this one is going to take me a while. 😳 But look at those colors!!

One of the things I love about being a maker is that sometimes it’s fun to step outside of your usual craft and just be a beginner again. No pressure. No need to be good at it. Just making something because it makes you happy.

So I thought I’d bring you along for this one. ❤️ I’ll share my progress as this little guy slowly comes to life.

Fall color—but make it yarn. 🍂🧶

I’ve been researching the biggest fashion colors for Fall 2026 and translating them into combinations we could actually knit or crochet.

Some are bold and unexpected. Some are richer, more wearable interpretations. And some show how one vivid accent can completely transform the neutrals we already love.

Which palette would you actually use?

1️⃣ Cherry red + royal purple
2️⃣ Burgundy + turquoise
3️⃣ Burgundy + peacock teal
4️⃣ Cobalt + chartreuse + cream
5️⃣ Turquoise + raspberry

Am I the only one?! 😂🧶

Please tell me I’m not alone on this struggle bus.

I start with the BEST intentions. The project goes in the project bag. The yarn goes in the project bag. The notions go in the project bag. Everything has a home.

And then somehow… a few days later, the project is OUT of the bag, the yarn is somewhere else, there are needles/hooks on the table, and my beautiful project bag has apparently become nothing more than a suggestion. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Why am I like this?!

There has been so much interest in the Foggy Dew Shawl by D. O’Keefe that I’m thinking it may need to become a class!

I knitted mine using just ONE ball of Lang Yarns Poema Cashmere, and we recently received the newest colors in this gorgeous luxury yarn. It’s incredibly soft, the color changes are beautiful, and because the entire shawl uses only one ball, it’s a wonderful little luxury without needing to purchase several skeins.

This would make such a special gift for yourself—or for someone who is truly knitworthy. 😉

This is me on a day off. 🤎

No meetings. No shop responsibilities. No rushing from one thing to the next. Just brewing coffee, slowing down, and giving myself permission to rest.

This is the side of me that most people don’t see—the quiet me who needs time to recharge and simply be.

And even when I need a break from everything else, I still reach for my craft. Crochet is the craft I learned when I was seven years old—the one I picked up and somehow never truly put down. 🧶

It has been with me through every season of my life. And after all these years, it is still where I find comfort, peace, and a little piece of myself.

Sometimes, recharging looks like doing almost nothing… with coffee in one hand and a crochet hook in the other. ☕️🧶

👀 Something new is taking shape…

I’ve been spending a little time with my hook, some crochet math, and a whole lot of experimenting. 🧶

Stitching. Frogging. Changing things. Borrowing ideas from different stitch techniques and figuring out how to make them all play nicely together.

And somehow… this little swatch is starting to turn into a design of my own. ✨

I have an idea of where I want this to go, but we’re definitely still in the “let’s see what happens if I do THIS” stage. 😂

So for now, just a little sneak peek. 👀

Have we told you lately how much we LOVE our Craftique community? 🥹🧶💕

This is what makes our little yarn shop so special. A table full of people learning something new, friends working on their projects, conversations happening across the room, lots of laughter, and makers of all ages spending a little part of their day together. ✨

Yes, we love the yarn. We love the projects. We love teaching new skills and watching beautiful things come to life.

But THIS is our favorite part. 💗
