😮 can’t believe I let a year go by without posting here! 4 nekkid spindles waiting for the wood hardener to dry before I apply linseed oil. Up for tomorrow are a handful of whorl blanks for turning. Hoping to convince myself to get listings made over the weekend. Ever wish you had a troop of gnomes to do the grunt work so you can focus on the creative work? Yeah, I’m there!

Someone once asked me about putting a hook on a spindle as well as a spiral notch. While I thought it would weaken the tip over much, it did give me this neat idea!

Lately I’ve been playing around with reindeer antler making needles. I’ve also delved into using gold and silver inks on the green soapstone to beautiful effect. Added a layer of shellac to those to protect the design. Love how it looks!
