Let's do keep in mind that our eviction truthfully is due to the foreclosure on the sale/Contract For Deed of the complex and the man who simply couldn't come up with the payment after ample opportunity. Our hearts go out to the residents who must leave by October 31, 2019.

Greetings all our friends and fans.
We Artists/Artisans at Hole in the Wall Galleries and Studios in the SLICe Complex have been notified by the SD Governor's office that we are being evicted and must leave the complex by October 31, 2019.
The 12 of us and Dakota BBQ will be just fine BUT our hearts go out to the 11 families who have had long term rental agreements in the residential area of the property who must also leave by October 31, 2019.
Affordable, available housing is in short supply in nearby Custer and Hot Springs to the south let alone jobs especially this time of year.
There were some officials in Pierre who wanted to work with all of us to keep the complex active and useful but the Governor had the final say.
Please keep the families in your thoughts that they find housing and are able to remain in the area. Thank you for ALL of your support in our Arts endeavor.
Steve Leonardi has some great ideas to keep moving forward in Custer and we look forward to exciting news/events in the future.
Our thoughts are with the effected families.
