I was hoping I wouldn't have to make a post like this. We had hoped everyone would respect the rules and appreciate all of the hard work that Curwensville Borough has invested into making Irvin Park a beautiful place for our community to enjoy. Unfortunately, we have reached a point where a reminder is necessary.
Please understand that these rules are in place for everyone's safety and to ensure that all visitors can enjoy Irvin Park, especially during Curwensville Days. We are certainly not the "fun police," and we have no desire to take the fun away from anyone. However, when bicycles, skateboards, electric bikes, scooters, or other mobile vehicles are being ridden through crowded areas of the park, there is a significant risk of someone being injured or property being damaged. What may seem fun for one person can quickly become a serious problem for someone else.
For the safety of all guests, bicycles, skateboards, electric bikes, scooters, and other mobile vehicles are not permitted within the park grounds during Curwensville Days.
We also ask that all children under the age of 12 be properly supervised by a parent or guardian. Anyone causing damage to park property, behaving disrespectfully, or creating safety concerns may be asked to leave the park. This applies to children, teenagers, and even adults who may have forgotten that they are no longer 12 years old.
If an individual refuses to leave after being asked, we will gladly arrange for a complimentary ride in a very recognizable red, white, and blue vehicle to es**rt them from the park.
Thank you for your cooperation, respect for our community, and for helping us keep Curwensville Days safe and enjoyable for everyone.
