Gamart Goodies & Crafts Unique handpainted folk art items for home and garden. Life intervened, and we've been on hiatus for several years.

While living in Murphy NC in 1994 I happened across an add for painting classes, taught at the local high school by a woman who I would come to know as a well-respected artist in the folk art community nationwide. What started out as one more way to expressive my creative side became a succession of weekend craft shows, evolving into a regular space at the Carroll County Famers Market for over 10

years. But now the crafts are back, and we'll be adding the "Goodie" side this year. The idea for healthy homemade dog treats sprang from the stories my mom would tell me about how my grandmother would cook up dog food for my grandfathers hunting and show dogs. The vision became more focused when one of my coonhounds developed a wheat allergy and I found out there just weren't that many affordable wheat and/or gluten -free alternatives for large dogs. We're still in recipe development, so watch this page!
