The Potter's Profile
2009 was the beginning of my passion at the potter’s wheel. My eldest daughter Danielle engaged in a class with pottery at North Georgia State College while pursuing her degree. I had an invite from her to visit the College, also her instructor’s personal Studio. And, this is where it all began…Her instructor had me so captivated with her vast knowledge in the history the art
, before I knew it I was sitting slumped over a potter’s wheel and have not been able to keep my hands clean since!!!! Being from New England…Apart of growing up I’ve acquired a taste for unique, was exposed to a vast array of art media, going to old barns… where a potter’s heaven resides... one of my favorites! Although this is a type of art that calls for tremendous amounts of patience. .. I have found… “My happy place”! I have a deep passion for the Ocean therefore I have incorporated sea life, seashells and the sort into my pieces, along with various colors and textures. It’s amazing how diverse the imagination can be, and also where it takes you when creating and working with clay…it’s compositions are never ending… I just can’t imagine doing anything elseI
