We're pleased to welcome back potter Marianne Talarick to the N. GA Folk & Outsider Fest, this Saturday (March 14) at the Lakewood 400 Antiques Market in Cu***ng.
Marianne was born and raised in central New Jersey but fell in love with the beauty of Southern Appalachia, moving south in 2012.
A lifelong lover of pottery and crafts, she started dabbling in clay a decade or so ago under the studio name Mountain Witch Pottery. Marianne enjoys using the wheel and hand building to create both functional and decorative pieces. She is inspired by nature and stories of folk witches and mysticism around her home in lovely Jasper, GA.
At the N. GA Folk & Outsider Fest, 10am-5pm at Lakewood 400 Antiques Market, you'll, as usual, find Marianne sharing a booth with her partner, Dale "Breezy" Ellis. (They're shown here participating at Finster Fest 2025 -- that's a heck of a lotta pottery talent under one tent, folks!)
Marianne and Breezy will be among 40ish artists and other purveyors of art, vintage and food vending at the N. GA Folk & Outsider Art Fest -- you don't want to miss this event!

"Grad school left little time for ukulele action," Merry Anne Painter recently posted. "Glad to have that time back for strummin and hummin."
Merry is indeed a talented ukulele strummer but an even more talented artist, another of life's joys that had to be cut way back while she was concentrating on academics. Mind you, all that master's degree work was on top of her full-time teaching job.
But Merry, a very instinctive artmaker when she has energy available to be instinctive, is now merrily strummin and happily hummin at ukulele AND artmaking. You can see the results in this post and, even better, in person this Saturday (March 14) at the N. Georgia Folk & Outsider Fest at Lakewood 400 Antiques Market in Cu***ng.
"I am glad to be back to painting and vending again," Merry said. "I'm super excited about setting up Saturday."
Come congratulate the graduate (and make a purchase!) from 10am-5pm at Lakewood 400 market, when she will be one of more than 40ish artists and other purveyors of art, vintage and food.
