Favor “Leo” Ileogben (b. 2002, Lagos, Nigeria) is a multidisciplinary artist who creates surrealist works that mainly explores dark themes with deep meanings. It is his intent, through his work, to challenge the perception of viewers and generally provide a thought-provoking experience.
“My artistry is a reflection of my emotional experiences as a child and a result of my inner cry for self-healing. While focusing on personal experiences, I create art centered around darkness, anxiety, depression, fear, anger and heartbreak which I believe every human has and is experiencing. My creative process enables me the freedom to explore ideas whether from overlaying thoughts or from a ‘lump.’ Surrealism can be seen in most of my pieces alongside elements of dreams and psychoanalysis.”
