Tower House RUTABAGA 2026 Recap! 💜⚡️
What. A. Weekend.
First and foremost, THANK YOU! To Crystal and our amazing staff who absolutely crushed it, to our customers and friends, and to this community for SHOWING UP for The Tower House all weekend long. We really felt the love! 🫶
This weekend was extra special because one year ago, Rutabaga Fest Friday was opening day at The Tower House. We were so busy opening our doors that we barely got to experience the festival itself. This year, we finally got to sneak out a little and see firsthand just how much goes into making this weekend happen.
A HUGE thank you to the Cumberland Chamber of Commerce and everyone involved in Rutabaga Fest. The Chamber has been a wonderful resource to The Tower House throughout our first year, and we’re especially grateful for the conversations, kindness and willingness to work together behind the scenes as we navigated our first year of all things Rutabaga. 💜 The hard work of everyone on the Chamber & Rutabaga Fest planners does not go unnoticed! Excellent job, everyone! We were amazed!
And there were A LOT of moments. We celebrated a 90th birthday that ended in karaoke, sold lots of merch, made more espresso martinis and Bloody Marys than we can count, held some pups and walked in the parade. ⚡️
And somehow, we even found a little time to enjoy Rutabaga Fest ourselves! Friday night after we closed, we sat on our our first assembled table of our new patio furniture (thanks to 50 People - & more - Who Care, pics coming soon!), played a game of Rummikub and enjoyed one of our own cocktails… a pretty great way to take in the craziness happening around us. Saturday after the chaos, we walked around the Fest, grabbed some food, checked out everything happening downtown and ended a heck of a day with a drink at Nezzy's Sports Bar & Grill! 🥂
After one full year of The Tower House, weekends like this make us stop and realize just how far we’ve come. We are so grateful for our staff, our customers, the Chamber, this community and everyone who continues to cheer us on.
And yes, we are pretty darn proud of what this place has become. 💜⚡️ It’s exactly what we wanted it to be!
Rutabaga Fest 2026 - you were one for the books! THANK YOU Cumberland! 🤍
