Band and orchestra sign ups have begun and we have the best option for instrument rentals!

We have plenty of entry level instruments for every student plus all of the supplies you could possibly need!

When you sign up, you’ll sign up for a discounted 3 month trial period. This helps ensure your student gets some time in band or orchestra to actually learn a bit about the instrument!

Our Cumberland store offers a very user friendly instrument rental program. It is available for band and orchestra instruments. You pay a monthly rental payment, based on four tiers determined by the instrument type.

Think Before You Buy! 🎵

There are a ton of different instrument brands out there. Some are wonderful, professional-quality instruments, while others are better categorized as toys.

If you’re looking for an instrument, here are 5 brands I recommend! This is not a comprehensive list!

Before you spend your hard-earned money, do a little research and, when possible, ask a music teacher or experienced musician for advice. The cheapest instrument isn’t always the best deal—poor quality can lead to frustration, repair costs, and difficulty learning.

What are Snark Tuners you may ask?

Well, these little guys are clip on tuners used to tune instruments accurately by sensing the physical vibrations coming from the instrument rather than relying on sound.

It can be difficult to tune with other musicians around, but the snark makes it a piece of cake!

We have some exciting news!

The Cumberland Music Academy now has a percussion teacher!

Drew Simonette is a graduate of WVU with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. He teaches all forms of percussion from marching percussion to classroom percussion!

He will be teaching Tuesday evenings and will be offering half hour and hour long lessons. If you have been waiting for percussion lessons, now is the time to sign up! Give us a call at 301-724-1234 for more information!
