100 Years of Sally's/Steckman Dance Studio
Mary Kathryn Steckman started the Steckman Dance Studio in 1926. After she passed away in 1970, her husband Paul Spidell managed the studio with the help of Paul’s sister Phyllis
Harshberger, niece Terry Harshberger Harvey, and instructors Cindy Crosser Perkins and Sally Pratt Shreve. In 1979 Sally purchased the studio, continuing the legacy of Mary Kathryn. Many of the original studio traditions are still in effect today, along with numerous advancements of the dance world.

Sally and Mary Kathryn, both professional dance teachers, were certified to teach dance by completing rigorous study and testing in the organizations of Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America.

Sally would like to thank Mary Kathryn for sharing her love of dance and her love of teaching
dance! 100 years and counting!!!
