World Beard Day and PossumFest in the same week?! That ain’t no accident, friends.

Possums got whiskers. Beards are just people whiskers. Therefore, beards = possums. (Don’t argue with the science. 😂)

So bring your glorious face-fuzz, mullets, or clean-shaven chins (we love ya too, baby possums) and celebrate with us this weekend at PossumFest 2026.

Because whether it’s on a critter or a cousin, we’re proud of all the whiskers in Appalachia. 🐾

🚐 There is NO parking downtown during the festival.

If you need to access West Main Street or East Main Street, use the U.S. 119 Bypass around town.
