This Saturday night we’ll be back at the Cumberland Gap Convention Center for another Cumberland Mountain Music Show, and we’re looking forward to a great night of Bluegrass, Gospel Music, Classic Country, and plenty of picking and a whole lotta fun!

We have Special Guest Kelly Caldwell, along with Stuart Wyrick, Clint Hurd, Justin Salyer, Sawyer Blankenship, Bryan Turner and the rest of the CMMS Band. Gerald Mullins will be back with us as host, so there’s a good chance we’ll hear a story or two before the night’s over.

Before long we’ll be tuning up, welcoming folks through the doors, and kicking off another great evening of Bluegrass, Gospel Music, and Classic Country.

🌟 CMMS Spotlight: Gerald Mullins 🌟

If ya'll have been to a Cumberland Mountain Music Show recently, you've likely been welcomed by the familiar voice and friendly personality of Gerald Mullins, our Master of Ceremonies. Gerald has quickly become an important part of the CMMS experience, helping create the warm, family atmosphere that audiences have come to love.

A lifelong lover of traditional bluegrass and gospel music, Gerald grew up performing in a family gospel group and has spent much of his life sharing music with others. He is a talented musician and vocalist who plays guitar, bass, banjo, and drums, and currently performs with Greg Marlow & Second Chance as well as Gerald Mullins & Friends.

Beyond the stage, Gerald has faithfully served as Pastor of Grace Christian Fellowship in Williamsburg, Kentucky, for the past 14 years and has also served as MC of Blazin' Bluegrass in Whitley City, Kentucky, for the last 8 years. A retired school teacher, Gerald now resides in Jacksboro, Tennessee, where he continues to share his love of music, faith, and community.

As a devoted fan of the music of Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, and Flatt & Scruggs, Gerald brings a deep appreciation for traditional bluegrass to everything he does. Whether he's introducing performers, entertaining the audience between sets, or stepping up to perform himself, his professionalism, humor, and genuine love for people shine through.

We're especially grateful to have Gerald as one of the newest members of the Cumberland Mountain Music Show family. His talents as a musician, singer, MC, have already made a tremendous impact, and we consider ourselves lucky to have him on our stage.

Be sure to join us on June 20th as Gerald will be serving as MC and performing live as part of the Cumberland Mountain Music Show. We know you'll enjoy spending an evening with one of East Tennessee's finest ambassadors for traditional bluegrass and gospel music.

🎶 Only 6 Days Away! 🎶

It's hard to believe we're only six days away from the June 20 Cumberland Mountain Music Show at the Cumberland Gap Convention Center. We've been seeing advance tickets come in all week, and ticket sales are already ahead of where we normally are at this point before a show. We know summer is a busy time of year, so we're grateful for the support and excited to see the enthusiasm building for this show.

We're looking forward to welcoming Special Guest Kelly Caldwell, along with Stuart Wyrick, Clint Hurd, Justin Salyer, Sawyer Blankenship, and the rest of the CMMS Band for an evening of Bluegrass, Gospel Music, Classic Country, and some mighty fine instrumentals. Gerald Mullins will be back with us as host, which means there will probably be a few laughs mixed in with the music too.

🎻 CMMS Band Spotlight: Clint Hurd 🎻

Clint Hurd of Eidson, Tennessee, is quickly becoming known as one of the area's most exciting young mandolin players, bringing precision, speed, drive, and soul to every stage he steps on.

Raised in a deeply musical family surrounded by the traditions of Appalachian music, Clint developed a passion for bluegrass at an early age and has dedicated himself to carrying that sound forward with authenticity and heart.

Known for his strong rhythm chops, tasteful fills, and blazing lead work, Clint's mandolin playing has become a major part of the sound of the Cumberland Mountain Music Show Band. Whether he's powering through a hard-driving bluegrass tune or adding emotion to a gospel favorite, Clint's timing, feel, and musicianship consistently stand out.

In addition to his outstanding mandolin work, Clint is also a talented vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, but it's his mandolin playing that continues to turn heads throughout East Tennessee's bluegrass community.

Outside of music, Clint enjoys spending time with his son, Asher, and staying connected to the Appalachian traditions and values that helped shape him into the musician he is today.

As a member of the Cumberland Mountain Music Show Band, Clint represents the next generation of traditional mountain musicians — rooted in tradition, driven by passion, and carrying the spirit of bluegrass music forward one note at a time.
