“On the Flip Side” spotlights six visionary photographers—Kennedi Carter, Lougè Delcy, Camila Falquez, Ruby Okoro, Dana Scruggs, and Juan Veloz—whose work moves seamlessly between commercial campaigns and fine art. 📸

Known for the bold imagery seen across magazines and billboards, these artists use photography to influence how we experience contemporary culture. By turning JCDecaux bus shelters in NYC, Boston and Chicago into spaces for reflection and connection, the exhibition reimagines public advertising as a platform for intimacy, identity, and storytelling.

LUMINEX 4.0: Resonance of Connection - Request for Qualifications

Now in its fourth iteration, LUMINEX is a world-class outdoor art and technology exhibition of renowned artists that offers the opportunity for creative voices to connect with the public at-large. As artworks continue to push the boundaries of digital technology, placing site-specific works that are large-scale, conceptually driven and accessible to the public, is at the heart of contemporary culture and art today.

We are inviting artists to send their qualifications to potentially be part of LUMINEX 4.0: Resonance of Connection, which will take place November 7 – 8, 2026 in downtown Los Angeles. We are seeking multiple forms of art across disciplines which may include projection mapping, interactive pieces, sound, performance, sculpture, and other installations. Selected artists should be able to form concept proposals informed by the curatorial statement with the ability to be adjusted in terms of scale and site-specificity to physical location.

Application Deadline: June 5, 2026 @ 11:59 PM PST

Another successful multimedia installation made permanent!

NOW Art is so proud to spotlight, Nate Mohler, one of our great Luminex artists, with the now permanent installation of “Entanglement”. Located in Culver City at City Hall, “Culver Current” is an innovative take on a traditional “fountain”, using generative video art mixed with kinetic silhouettes. Stop by and take a look!

NOW Art was proud to present to Starwood Hotel leadership at the 1 Hotel- Luciana Abait and Carmen Zella - sharing insights on “Light/Sound/Space”. Their talk inspired conversations about how the environment and personal experiences have shaped their work in architectural applications.

Starting off with the Light & Space movement of the 1960’s and 70’s that started in Los Angeles, they explained how it fostered experimentation with light, materials and location.

Spin, spin, spin!! 🎡 At OCT-LOFT, Daxing Jizi Design brings play to the forefront with Twirl Tower, an interactive installation that only comes alive when you do.

Inspired by the layered joy of a celebration cake, this kinetic sculpture invites visitors to turn, engage, and co-create motion. More than public art, it’s a shared moment of movement, connection, and urban play. ✨

Let the magic begin! ✨

What started as a father-daughter hobby has taken on a life of its own. Eric and Meghan Ryterski have transformed their neighborhood creation into a full-time, traveling work of public art.

The duo believes in the power of public art, saying, “It brings people together, we’re so polarized, this is something people agree on, and you can have a conversation about it, and nobody’s going to get mad.”

The Magic Canopy is a three-dimensional zoetrope that uses a rotating platform, strobe lights, and a variety of characters to create a mesmerizing animated scene. All at the push of a button. It’s weatherproof and can be installed anytime, anywhere.

So… when will one pop up in Los Angeles? 👀

Coachella is in full swing! 🎡✨

Inflatables are vogue! With a theme centered around “luminance, transparency, and lightness of form”, festival-goers are invited to ‘selfie away’ and engage by walking through, around, and even leaning into the art.

Installations like “Maze” by Sabine Marcelis double as both visual experiences and shady retreats from the desert sun. Organic curves with rigid desert geometry. This inspiration is infused in both “Maze” and “Starry Eyes” by Kyriakos Chatziparaskevas. Another standout, “Visage Brut” by The LADG, towers over the grounds. By day, its rust-colored steel structure commands attention, but by night, it transforms into a glowing, colorful beacon.

Over the past weekend, the Corita Art Center unveiled its latest exhibition! ✨

Titled “Unordinary Days: Celebration as Resistance,” the exhibition brings the past into the present through rare artworks and archival materials from the 1950s and 1960s. Featuring Corita Kent’s vibrant serigraphs, it explores the creativity, community, and spirit of celebration inspired by Mary’s Day traditions.

In the 1960s, Kent and the Immaculate Heart College community transformed Mary’s Day into a bold and joyful expression of collective creativity. Through art, music, and shared making, they reimagined ritual as a platform for social action—addressing issues such as hunger, peace, and civil rights.

Open and free to the public by appointment. On view April 11, 2026 through April 3, 2027.
