There's a reason you became an actor. And somewhere between the self-tapes, the callbacks, and the business of it all, it's easy to lose touch with that reason.
This fall, we're inviting professional actors to reconnect.
Jack Stehlin calls it Zen and the Art of Acting. At its core, the work is about finding presence, learning to truly live in the moment you're actually in. By giving yourself over to the story, you find your way to authenticity.
Formally, it's the Stanislavski Workshop, an advanced, in-depth exploration of Stanislavski's technique through scene work. It's built for working actors, the kind who already have craft and experience, and want to sharpen it further. The work applies directly to the stage, and just as directly to film, television, or any other media.
What to expect:
• A working ensemble of vibrant, professional actors on stage and screen
• Deep, hands-on exploration of Stanislavski's system through scene work
• A shared dialogue with motivated actors building long-lasting careers
• The chance to be invited into membership with The New American Theatre
