With the war in Ukraine continuing to claim lives, the Middle East in constant upheaval, and the conflicts across Africa, I found myself deply moved by the image of a veiled woman walking alone, and I was inspired to paint her as "Peace".
Over the last couple of years, I have painted her many times, each version carrying grief, resilience and hope. Some of these versions were commissioned by collectors who connected with her quiet strength and sorrow.
May peace erupt across our Earth.
