🔥 LET THE KIDS COOK! Registration is NOW OPEN for the Smoke & Flames Kids Q Competition! 🔥

Think your child has what it takes to be the next BBQ champion? Bring them out to the Smoke & Flames Barbecue Cookoff on October 24th and let them show off their skills!

🏆 Age Divisions:
🌭 Ages 5-9 – Conecuh Hot Dog Challenge
🍔 Ages 10-14 – Brisket & Short Rib Burger Challenge

All proteins are provided by The Butcher Meat Co., and contestants are encouraged to get creative with their seasonings, toppings, sauces, and presentation!

👨‍🍳 Important: Kids do NOT have to be part of a competition team to participate. Any child within the age divisions is welcome to enter! We simply require adult supervision throughout the competition for safety.

Judging will be based on:
✅ Appearance
✅ Taste
✅ Creativity
✅ Overall Presentation

This event is all about encouraging young pitmasters, building confidence, learning outdoor cooking skills, and most importantly... HAVING FUN!

The 2026 Butcher’s Smoke & Flames BBQ Cookoff is officially a KCBS-sanctioned BACKYARD competition — and that means teams from all over will be firing up smokers and battling it out the REAL way. 🔥

If you’ve never heard of a KCBS-sanctioned backyard comp before, here’s why that’s a BIG deal…

The Kansas City Barbeque Society is the largest BBQ sanctioning body in the world and oversees hundreds of competitions every year. KCBS events follow official rules, blind judging, meat inspections, and standardized scoring to keep the competition fair and legit.

BUT… “Backyard” doesn’t mean beginner. 😏

Backyard competitions are where passion meets competition. These are the teams cooking all night after work, perfecting recipes in their driveways, garages, patios, and backyards chasing that perfect bite.
