This week at the Playhouse...Disney's Dare to Dream Jr, presented by Centerstage Children's Theater!

Disney’s Dare to Dream JR. is a 60-minute musical r***e that follows an eager group of trainees on their first day at a fictional Walt Disney Imagineering Studio. As the group sets out to help each other discover their dreams, they work together to explore the power of dreams to unite, inspire, and make anything possible. Drawing from a century of beloved Disney films, Dare to Dream JR. features songs appearing for the first time ever in a Disney stage musical, including fan-favorites from The Princess and the Frog, Coco, Encanto, and Frozen II. This musical r***e is a thrilling mix of contemporary songs, timeless classics, and brand-new medleys that are sure to surprise and delight Disney lovers of all ages.

This week at Elision Playhouse...2Brave2Bold!

Revisit the land of Athelo in this ten-year-anniversary performance of "The Brave and the Bold", an original fairy tale musical by Adam Hebeisen and Timothy Radermacher. Featuring seven original cast members and an updated script and score, this memorable adventure is appropriately delightful for audience members of all ages and temperaments.

"2Brave2Bold" follows the story of Dave, a young prince who struggles to escape his impending arranged marriage. When his true love, Rosalina, is kidnapped by an evil villain named Viktor, Dave and his friends set out on a quest to save her. Along the way they encounter danger and adventure at every turn and quickly discover that Viktor's plan is far more dastardly than anyone realized. It is up to Dave and a small group of unlikely heroes to save the kingdom and be remembered in the tales of the brave and the bold...

This week at the Playhouse! Vigil is the inaugural production of 8:20 Dance Company's Clockwork Series, featuring eight original works by guest choreographers inspired by a shared annual theme. Following last season's Somna, an evening exploring dreams and the subconscious, Vigil asks what happens after we wake. As the dream dissolves, awareness begins.

Through eight distinct choreographic voices, audiences are invited into moments of watchfulness, vulnerability, resilience, hope, and transformation—discovering what remains when imagination gives way to reality. Together, these works form one collective experience, reminding us that awakening is more than opening our eyes. It is choosing to be fully present.

This week at the Playhouse, Carousel by Rodgers and Hammerstein!

Art of Reconciliation says, "Considered the most emotionally potent of all Rodgers and Hammerstein’s works, this show will both challenge and inspire you.

As artists, we are aware of the problematic way in which domestic violence is discussed and responded to in Carousel. Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, based on Ferenc Molnar's "Liliom", presents deeply human, flawed relationships caught in generational cycles of abuse. As much as we would like to think our society is beyond these patterns and attitudes, we still live in a world where 1 in 3 women will personally experience domestic violence in her lifetime. Sometimes art is the honest reflection we need to spark action.

Our hope in telling this story is to be challenged by what we see and to open more pathways for individual healing and systemic change. As with all our shows, Carousel will be presented in partnership with organizations doing the work of reconciliation, restoration, and healing."

This week at The Playhouse, End Times Theater presents Insane Animals!

Two time-traveling aliens have landed on earth to save humanity from the brink of collapse. What follows is a chaotic retelling of the ancient Epic of Gilgamesh, featuring a campy pop-rock score. In this fable of mythic proportions, the aliens pose as gods and coerce the tyrannical King Gilgamesh to embark on a quest to defeat death. The trio’s messy time traveling endeavors take them to the future where the horrifying yet mesmerizing transhumanist movement forces them to beg the question: is immortality really all it's cracked up to be?

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Terce: A Practical Breviary is a radical rethinking of a monastic 9:00 AM mass and an adaptation that reimagines the face of the “Holy Spirit” through the lens of the Divine Feminine. Sung by a choir of caregivers and makers, it is a wild meditation/celebration of the sacred mothers alive in all of us.
