Mundane experiences were brand new. Beauty was found in unusual places. The iridescence of a trout. The design in a dragon fly’s wing. Clouds are not really white anymore. Seven years ago I discovered the world of glass. I went away for the weekend to a ranch in the middle of nowhere down ribbons of dirt roads to take introductory class on fusing glass. Newy Fagan, the teacher/artist in her remote

paradise in the middle of the Ocala National Forest opened my eyes to a new world. I know this sounds flowery and dramatic, but it is. Since that time I just can’t stop fusing glass. I retired from my 32 year career in education and I now fuse full time. This page is a sample of my new life. I hope you enjoy what you see.
