Winter holds on...we wait...for the rain, it raineth every day...
Once more the Hamner Theater has made the difficult decision to reschedule our first Café of the year, moving it squarely into March, the first day to be precise. The weather forecast is again a moving target but the threat of inclement conditions for driving is enough to make us say let's reschedule. We want you to come, we want to support local theater and local artists and we want to engage in community conversation and so it is important that no one is anxious about driving to the Hamner Studio. Including and especially the artist! So please make note, Sunday, March 1 at 2pm, we will welcome Royal Shirée to the Studio. We hope you will join us - at last!
There will be a zoom option for any for whom travel is impossible - please let me know if you would like the link. Otherwise, please join us next Sunday, March 1 at 2pm for Royal and her story "Junior, the second son, (is) the first of a series of stories excerpted from the unabridged narrative, The Well: Climbing Out of the Dysfunction of Caregiving by Royal Shirée. It examines and explores death, dying, and the dysfunctional family. It digs to the core: the reality. The connections are relevant. These short stories dive into each individual character and their mind and how it impacts everything."
Please join us for the reading and the conversation afterwards and help ease us into spring...
As always, tea and cookies will be provided and the $20 suggested donation goes directly to support the artist and the theater.

With gratitude for your understanding and patience and looking forward to finally getting to share this event!

"Junior, the second son, is the first of a series of stories excerpted from the unabridged narrative, The Well: Climbing Out of the Dysfunction of Caregiving by Royal Shirée. It examines and explores death, dying, and the dysfunctional family. It digs to the core: the reality. The connections are relevant. These short stories dive into each individual character and their mind and how it impacts everything.
Synopsis:
Mama and Daddy fought. In front of young children. Junior is a product. We all are. We just do our piece of the product in different ways. This is Junior’s way."

Come for the reading and the conversation afterwards and help kick off the new year, or at least the beginning of Spring, by supporting a local artist at your local theater!
