Apparently I'm really good percussion so I thought... Hey wouldn't it be nice if I could give lessons to people who are what to learn how to play, or start getting into the phase of playing on a drumset. I know various styles: Jazz, fusion, rock, traditional, punk, metal, off beat timing
My favorite genre: Rock/alt/Offbeat
My favorite drummers: Matt Cameron, Taylor Hawkins, Neal Peart, Stewart C
opeland, Buddy Rich, John Bonham
Favorite Band: Soundgarden/Rush/Tool/Muse/Foofighters (A 4 way tie)
Favorite cymbals: Zildjian. (I do have a couple of other types.) What can I do for you? Well I can teach basic skills which is necessary to take the long road to becoming a drummer. While I'm only 18 I am only limiting to teaching beginning stuff because I feel that there are other teachers who are older and have took classes on drumming are much better for more advanced drumming technique. However, it is very important to understand that drumming is a evolution. As you grow up as a drummer you will change your taste, you will broaden your ideas to other genres and techniques. Something you learn today could end up being something a lot more tiny compared to what you learn next year. If you want to learn something from me I can do that. I will offer two days of a half hour lesson to anyone as a orientation. Meaning point blank: You can see if you want to continue or if you feel it sucks so bad. But also a last point: You have to practice, you can't be lazy. Nothing comes walking to your door the next day. You head to ITs door. Learning and not practicing is pretty much pointless. Also some people learn faster then others. For example I can pick up beats in seconds in most songs or in books. Some it can take a lot longer. And lastly for people who start off drumming: Sometimes drumming isn't for you. Like how some people can't sing, theres a point where you just can't learn. But in most times people will get past that part. So if your interested hit me email and I'll talk to you about more information.
