Six years ago tonight, I walked into the hospital with Brennon , and our lives would never be the same.

Yesterday’s memory was our last date night together before everything changed. Just me and my boys, making memories, laughing, and living life without knowing what was ahead of us.

The weeks that followed are a blur of fear, heartache, prayers, and moments I wish I could go back and change. From that hospital stay to the day we had to say goodbye to Brennon on November 16th, those days changed our family forever.

This time of year is hard for all of us. The memories come flooding back, and it feels like we are walking through those days all over again. I remember the fear, the uncertainty, the hope we held onto, and the heartbreak that followed.

Six years later, I still miss my boy more than words can ever explain. I would give anything to go back to that night, to hug my boys a little longer, and to have just one more ordinary day with Brennon.

If you have loved and lost a child, you understand how the calendar can take you right back to the hardest days of your life. Time moves forward, but a mother’s heart never stops missing her child.

Forever loving you, Brennon. Until I see you again.

There’s just something about New Orleans!

The colorful buildings, iron balconies, weathered brick, and centuries of history make every street feel like it has a story to tell.

It was such a joy to paint this condo as a custom commission gift. I especially loved bringing out the bold colors that reflect both the building and the owner’s personality.

Thank you for trusting me with such a special piece

I find lots of inspiration in the things I collect!
Antique frames
Blue and white pottery
Fresh flowers
Quiet corners of old homes

Somehow they always find their way into my paintings.

My studio is full of works in progress right now.

I usually have several paintings going at once, letting each one rest before adding the next layer. Sometimes stepping away for a few days helps me see exactly what it needs.

These oversized florals in vintage frames are slowly coming to life, and I can’t wait to share the finished pieces.

Which one would you hang in your home? 💙

This little painting began with nothing more than a few loose shapes and colors.
I love watching a landscape slowly reveal itself, layer by layer, until it finally becomes the scene I had imagined.
Every brushstroke changes the light, the mood, and the feeling.

Swipe to see the journey from start to finish.

One of my favorite things to do is watch the sunset, and they have always been one of my favorite things to paint. There’s something about the way they make the world feel a little quieter and the stress of the day fade away.

I actually painted this Louisiana sunset while I was in Spain. Even across the ocean, I found myself missing home and the peaceful beauty of cypress trees at sunset.

This painting will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s still a work in progress!!

A year after losing my son, Brennon, I painted this for my son William as a Christmas gift. It was the first painting I had created in many years, and I had no idea that picking up a paintbrush would become such an important part of my grief healing.

Looking back, this painting marked the beginning of Belle Reve Designs Art and the journey that has led me here today. I’m so grateful for everyone who has encouraged and supported my artwork along the way. 🤍 #

One of my favorite parts of creating art is finding antique and vintage frames that become part of the story.

I’ve always loved old homes, heirlooms, and things that have lived a life before finding a new one. Pairing my paintings with vintage frames gives each piece its own personality and makes it feel like a collected treasure.

I just picked up another stack of beautiful old frames, and I can’t wait to fill them with new paintings over the next few weeks. 💙

Which one is your favorite?
