Frances Lea Dance Center Join our family-friendly DANCE studio in Crowley, TX! Classes for ages 2 to adults start at $50/month. Call 817-263-7888 or email [email protected].

Frances Lea: From Broadway to Crowley. We create well rounded dancers that go on to dance in college and professionally. Frances graduated from TCU with a degree in Ballet and perfromed on Broadway for many years. We believe that all students should have a good basis in Ballet but we have also won many trophies for clogging, hip hop, tap and jazz. Please come by and visit to find a class that works for you!

✨ MEET THE FACES OF FLDC! ✨

We couldn’t wrap up our Meet the Faces series without introducing the woman whose name is on the building — Mrs. Frances, Founder & Artistic Director of Frances Lea Dance Center! 💕

🩰 What is your role at FLDC?
I serve as Artistic Director, working alongside our teachers, advising and helping with classes, and sharing the knowledge and experience that have been such an important part of Frances Lea for so many years.

✨ What styles of dance do you love?
I love Ballet, Tap and Jazz! My degree from TCU is in Ballet/Theatre, so I know how important Ballet is for building strong technique. I also love Musical Theatre! 🎭✨

👯 What’s your favorite style of dance to perform?
I enjoy performing all styles of dance, but Tap has always been extra special to me. 💗

🐾 What do you love to do outside of the studio?
When I’m not at FLDC, you’ll find me caring for rescue dogs and cats — something I’m very passionate about! 🐾💜

For generations of dancers, Frances Lea Dance Center began with Mrs. Frances and her love of dance, and we’re so thankful that her experience, guidance and love for our dancers continue to be such an important part of FLDC today. 💕✨

✨ MEET THE FACES OF FLDC! ✨

You’ve met our teachers and some of our staff, but there are a few other faces you’ll see doing a little bit of EVERYTHING around FLDC! 😂

Meet Mr. Randall and Mr. Brian — Ms. Joy’s and Mrs. Amy’s husbands and two of the guys we call when something needs to be fixed, moved, set up, taken down, guarded, announced, sold…or apparently when a squirrel needs to be removed. 😂

🔨 What are some of the jobs you’ve found yourself doing at FLDC over the years?

Mr. Randall: Lights, sound systems, ceiling fans, plumbing, squirrel removal, yard work…and whatever else needs to be done!

Mr. Brian: Lights, sound, announcing, security, pack mule, repairman, etc. Basically, whatever I’m told. 😂

💕 How long have you been part of the Frances Lea family?

Mr. Randall: 1 million years. 😂 Just kidding — 36 years!

Mr. Brian: About 18 years!

🎭 What’s your favorite part of being involved with FLDC?

Mr. Randall: The great sense of community at FLDC.

Mr. Brian: My favorite event is registration, but my favorite part is watching all the kiddos grow up and seeing them achieve so much.

😂 What’s one FLDC job you NEVER expected would become part of your job description?

Mr. Randall: T-shirt production. 👕😂

🏡 When you’re NOT being recruited to do something at FLDC, what can we find you doing?

Mr. Randall: Overlanding! 🏕️🚙 Follow along on our adventures at 2brokepeopleoverlanding on Instagram.

Mr. Brian: Working my other full-time job or hanging out with my family!

I help with cleaning, setting up for events and working in the T-shirt shop!

I co-teach our Wednesday Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Lyrical class!

✨ How long have you been dancing and teaching at FLDC?
I’ve been dancing at Frances Lea for 9 years, and this is my first year teaching! 💕

👯 What’s your favorite style of dance to teach and/or perform?
Jazz is my favorite style to teach and perform, but I also love performing Contemporary! 💗

🏡 What do you love to do outside of the studio?
When I’m not at FLDC, you can usually find me dancing with my fellow CHS Sparklers or hanging out with my friends and family! 💃✨

Next up in our Teacher Features is Ms. Tyecia Franklin! 💕

🩰 What are you teaching this year?
I teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Clogging and Acro!

✨ How long have you been dancing and teaching?
I’ve been teaching for 10 years, and this is my 3rd year teaching back at my home studio — the same place where I started dancing at just 2 years old! 💕

👯 What’s your favorite style of dance to teach and/or perform?
I love teaching Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop, and my favorite styles to perform are Hip Hop, Jazz Funk and Tap! 💗

✈️ What do you love to do outside of the studio?
When I’m not at FLDC, I work as an Inbound Operations Manager for a Frito-Lay distribution center!

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling the world and, of course, MORE dancing! 💃✈️ I’m also back in the books working toward my Pilates certification! 📚😇
