Day Three of the Crosslake Art Club Workshop: Photos by Roz Anderson with text by Renae Saunders. Note- You can zoom in on the sample paintings by instructor M. Holter in one of the photos.
“Each day started out with a slide show on the computer featuring painters with techniques and styles that different artists have used and were famous for. These included things we could try and use during the workshop.
“We did two paintings each the first two days (all using the similar scenes from his photo references) and following the tips and instructions from Michael’s demos.
“It was a good review of the watercolor process with some tips and new things to try out.
“Then day three we got one more painting done with a chance to add cars and people to our paintings.
“Each day we made time for a show and tell, and of course, everyone’s style came through even doing the same scene! Always fun to experience another view of what you just painted!
“There was lots of laughter and humor during the workshop. Michael commented positively on our group, not having experienced teaching such a tight-knit fun group in the past.” - Renae Saunders
