As we've said multiple times this year we aren't able to run due to recent floods. However we have an itch to scratch and that is doing fun Halloween stuff with our friends and family. We were privileged to be invited to the Crooksville fall fest for its revitalization. These people never cease to amaze me. We turned a shelter house into a haunted house and returned it back to normal in less than 24 hours. We had a blast and will look forward to being back next year. Look forward to our next appearance October 30 at the Morgan county trick or treat. Oh and if you took pics with any of us today please share them with us or tag us.

Reminder we cannot and will not put you or our crews safety in jeopardy for anything...so with that said we will not be running the 2026 season.
If you still want to get a taste of our kind of fun we will be doing a donation set up at the Crooksville fall fest October 3 and moco trick or treat October 30.

While this definitely not the same as getting to actually run this year. This was a blast last year and let's the ghouls of the trail get to come out and do our thing. We are still trying to figure out something else to do this year.

Another local company that helped us out this year is -Flautt Lumber in New Lexington. They hooked us up with materials we need for building before we got hit with all the flooding. We will be using those materials to build back for our 2027 season. I'm here to say that the trail will not be running this year. With the weather doing what it has, we feel we have to do this. Believe me we have thought long and hard and talked quite a bit. There is not only still a ton of water down there and possibly more to come but we have to see if mold is going to be an issue after everything in the bottom got wet. Mosquitoes are already bad down there but with this laying water everywhere it will be unbearable. There are trees that need to be safely removed. All in all it's more work than we can get done all for the chance of still not running and we will not risk the safety of our crew or customers. We have been invited back to do a pop-up for Morgan county trick or treat on October 30. We are also going to try to organize something for the community as a big way of saying we ain't dead, we just have to take a year off after 4 floods in less than 2 weeks. As we find out about that we will keep you guys in the loop. As always thank you for not only helping us do this but making it better. Those who have donated this year, we are so sorry to do this but mother nature got the better of us. We will still post your help and advertise as promised and next year you will get the same treatment even if you decide not to donate again.

Believe me folks, we will be back and bigger than ever.

Just a quick update. This short video gives an idea of what the trail looks like. Our family and home is all good. Our garage is gonna need some work, our gun shop is gonna need some work. The haunted trail survived with some loss of tools, materials and props. However there is always a ton that goes into getting this thing ready for you guys to come out and see. With everything else going on and how bad this is we're not sure of the future of the trail. We're going to wait a bit and evaluate the trail as a group to see where we all sit. Time is short, we do this out of our pockets and there is only a small core group to do all the work. We have to look at not only the show aspect but the safety of our crew and you our amazing customers.

For those of you who may not know Perry county is in a state of emergency. Specifically Crooksville is under water. We can't even get to the trail to assess damage. Everything comes out of our families pocket and a couple of our friends we call family also purchase things. If the images and video from the area where the trail is located hold true we may not be able to open this year. We were already behind schedule due to this summer's crazy weather. Now this flooding may be beyond our ability to fix or our ability to afford to fix this season. Just keep an eye out on this page for announcements. We will do our best but that also means cancelling rather than giving you a half hearted show if need be.
