But a hell of a test, It shows what went down on the Annapolis City Dock last night with Ursula Ricks and her band...
It -IS- a test so it has flaws... and it may disappear when the real version gets done... or Ursula says it's not quite what she wants up...

Tomorrow starts the Annapolis City Dock summer concert series, ROCK THE DOCK. We'll be working sound for a crazy range of great musicians all season, from rockers to big-bands, blues, indie rock, Soul/African-fusion and more, starting with the astounding, crazy musically marvelous EASTPORT OYSTER BOYS, who, it seems, are intent on challenging things by bringing a full-blown brass band along with them! Thursday evenings at 7pm. Free. All summer! Grab some food from any of the places near The Dock and settle in for a great evening. Next week is funk/blues guitarist singer and songwriter MIKE McHENRY and The Tribe.

RAIN DAY
Amazing day on the city dock. LOST CHILD opened the show with remarkable 3-man Alternate/Indie original tunes that were great. Crowd hit them back with a great line "YOU GUYS ARE NOW MY NEW FAVORITE BAND!"
BROTHERS AND SISTERS did their wonderful 4-part vocal magic on all manner of popular thick chordal stuff...

THis week starts outdoor summer concert series. Yesterday was all
afternoon evening on the City Dock in ANNAPOLIS. Center of the largebrick park area is an 80' tall ship's yardarm/mast/thing with flags. Very pretty. Also location for FOH.
Lovely day till the storms hit. We had done 2 acts and then thunder so we pulled power and tarped as best as we could. MUCH lightning within 500 feet so with teh Big Yardarm Spark Attractor, we had to leave it it all and sit in cars. Watched lightning hit the 6 blocks-away old State Building (classic colonial tall stacked-dome-spire) which took the hit, spire-top-flags still flying... and started to smoke... rain stopped, we packed 80% in truck then more rain hit nailing stuff not protected (mostly wires and hardware)
Gear was fairly well protected but rain was blowing all directions
hard, Digital Soundcraft console had the back side (connectors) exposed to spray. not drenched but well sprinkled. Snake head boxes and stuff in roadbox (some DI/s ) got some water in 'em.

Today is gorgeous here with sun breeze and perfect dry out weather (after being in truck damp all night).
