Hello Makers! Some exciting news from Picture the Good: Studio + Workshop, and one of your fellow vendors from the Market last fall - The Adventures of Connor the Courageous Cutter. The Crofton-based authors of this book series will be joining us on Zoom TOMORROW morning to do a live, hands-on storytelling workshop and Q+A for all ages. We have 6 tickets still available. Join us! The link will be in the comments.

We're always happy to support our fellow makers through one-of-a-kind classes and talks - if you have an idea for one you'd like to lead, drop us a line!

Artists and makers! We're putting together our early 2021 lineup of workshops. If you have a specialty that could be shared via Zoom, we'd love to have you (these are paid workshops). We work with each workshop instructor to curate the materials for each registrant, as we provide packets ahead of time - your craft could be for children, adults or both. We've done plenty of workshops so far, in everything from wooden signs and food photography, to hand-stamped wine charms and wreath-making. But we're open to ALL suggestions - whether it's creative or self-care in nature. Workshop hosts are always welcome to introduce their businesses + talk about their custom offerings, but we don't do direct sales in any workshops because we want each experience to feel like a little escape for our customers, with no strings attached. Please message us directly to get started! Picture the Good: Studio + Workshop

One of our Maker's Market non-profits, Hunti’s Hope Hunters is hosting a "Hunt for Hope" to help women in recovery from addiction. They are looking for donations of new items for care packages, monetary and in-kind donations for coupon bags, and have partnered with another one of our vendors for a health face mask fundraiser. Proceeds from mask sales will benefit the "Hunt for Hope." Hi everyone! We (the Makers' Market founders - Picture the Good: Studio + Workshop) want to continue being a community resource and support our amazing local artisans and makers of specialty goods for the holidays! We're putting together a social media "Village Favorites" 2020 Holiday Guide featuring YOUR businesses you showcased at the Village Green last month. (Even if you weren't there, but you're local, we'd LOVE to showcase you). (If you'd like to be a part of this - send an email with all the info, including goods, pricing and contact/website to picturethegoodstudio@gmail with the subject line: "Holiday Guide" no later than November 15th). This is a chance to further showcase our amazing local talent, help the community support each other even more by purchasing one-of-a-kind, locally crafted gifts (and local gift cards) for their loved ones. Feel free to photograph sets or individual pieces with prices that we can easily upload and share broadly to the community. We're looking to do pricing categories of "Under $10" "Under $25" "Under $50" and "Under $100". You do not have to have been a part of the original Makers' Market last month, but you do have to be an independent maker (no direct sellers please). Any questions, let us know.

PS: We are still holding out hope for for one more holiday market this year, but it's still pending Village Green approval. Fingers crossed we get the green light this week!
