☀ Sunday Morning in the Word — He Is Not Here—He Is Risen

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee. — Luke 24:6 (KJV)

These words changed everything.

The women came to the tomb expecting to find Jesus’ body. Instead, they were met with a message that turned sorrow into hope: “He is not here, but is risen.” Death had not held Him. The grave had not won.

And the angel adds a gentle reminder: “remember how he spake unto you.” Jesus had already told them this would happen. In their grief, they had forgotten His words—but His promises had not failed.

How often do we do the same? We face difficulty, confusion, or loss, and forget what He has already said. But the resurrection stands as a lasting proof that every word of Christ is true.

Because He lives, our faith is not empty. Because He lives, sin has been defeated. Because He lives, we are called not only to believe—but to live in the power of that risen life, growing more and more into His likeness.

May your Sunday be filled with the steady joy of knowing that Christ is risen—and His promises never fail. 💛

I so much enjoyed painting a fun rainboot bouquet of flowers and a pinwheel with Henning AOG ladies on Saturday! Thank you Carla Montrosse Robbins and all the gals that brought me in to teach this. Painting is a wonderful way to relax and focus on something creative. I hope you all had a great time!
