The post I always hate to make, race is cancelled. Chance of rain tonight and early tomorrow makes racing a muddy mess. Maybe Mother Nature will help us next week, the 5th Saturday race. 🙁

Ok, here goes another win for Mother Nature. We are postponing yet another race due to the rain we have gotten and the rain that is forecast for today and tomorrow. Sorry guys and gals, thought it best to throw this out there early so you have time to make other plans.😞

Race is cancelled. 2 out of 3 weather forecast services are calling for rain. So in everyone's benefit we are cancelling. We hate having to do this but it is better to err on the side of caution rather than have everyone coming to a wet track and hoping it will dry out.😌

We have secured a host hotel for the upcoming ONS race in July. If the response is good they also want to be the Host Hotel for the 1/10th State Race in Sept as well as the Charity Race in November. For the ONS Race: the information is as follows:

Start Date: Thursday, July 9, 2026(Practice)
Qualifying: July10, 2026
Mains: July11, 2026
End Date: Sunday, July 12, 2026(Tentative if necessary)

Really wanted to join you all today, buy halfway thru the prep yesterday I had to leave, something got a hold of me and threw me for a loop,. All day today I've done nothing much more than sleeping and running a low grade temperature (99.4 up to 100.4). Nothing major, just enough to make you feel miserable. Glad things turned out the way they did for you all. Wanted to debut that Hobao 4wd SCT, but it wasn't in the cards. Hope to see ya'll in a couple of weeks.😎

Tons of Fun today! With a light turnout we were flying through quals in under an hour. Great weather and excellent traction; the groove from the Battle survived the rain. Just a few words about this past weekend's running of Battle 2026. It was AWESOME!! A massive thanks to all that came and laid some rubber down on our track. You guys and gals showed great sportsmanship and professionalism in your quest for some "Battle" treasure. According to LIveRC we had 221 entries for 95 individuals, which surpassed any of our previous "Battles". In deed there was some drama in the pits and on the driver's stand, but let's not dwell on that. Instead let's dwell on the best of the best of everyone and the many smiles that I saw on the driver's stand and in the pits. The track was in excellent shape and the layout that Ben came up with was astounding. Congratulations to all of the winners of the coveted plaques and winners of some awesome car kits, tools, and swag. A great thank you goes out to our sponsors: Classic R/C and Jimmy Woodley, TLR Racing and Hunter King, Schumacher R/C and Ben Buckingham, Goebel Detailing and Mike Goebel, and lastly Chick-Fil-A of Crestview courtesy of Duane Sapp's efforts in securing their support. A special thanks goes out to Ron Vanderkooy and his masterful use of the Kubota Tractor that he has time and again procured to make our track layout changes a little easier. Ron always goes above and beyond in helping here at B&T. A special thank you to all that volunteered in lending a hand while executing these track changes. Above all, I would like to thank my wife, Linda, for all of her efforts in handling the tee shirts, raffle ticket sales,and putting up with me and my devotion to this sport. We wish to thank the City of Crestview for their continuing support and the onset of the Roof Project that will be beginning soon. We are looking forward to the two major races coming our way in July and September, as well as our annual Charity race in November. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to help bring smiles to your faces as you grace our track with your presence.
