We are deeply saddened and horrified to hear about the murder that occurred in Cedar Glen. This type of ignorance and hatred must not be tolerated at any level. The absolute right of everyone to peacefully exist must be protected and this terrible occurrence is a symptom of the poison that exists, not only in our community, but all over our great country. Akasha stands with those who will defend these rights and against those that use their ignorance and fear to justify hateful behavior. Passivity in any form is not an option at this point. The denizens of this ”culture” on our mountain should have no quarter and should not be tolerated. It’s shameful and disgusting that there are still, in this day and age, those that would defend hatred of this stripe and like cancer, it must be exposed and eradicated. Stand against hatred! Akasha stands with you.

Since our physical location is no more, we have switched gears and are now traveling the states, performing Blöt, Sumbel and Bryllup. We will be updating with pics and more very soon. Blessings and much love to our tribe!

We are still waiting to hear what will become of the building Akasha occupied. Our insurance is not covering us and we are unsure about the landlords insurance. The building is red tagged and so far, all we know is that the landlord is trying to secure a demolition permit. I struggled for years to keep Akasha going. We made it through Covid, we made it through the persecution and ire of this town and now, I can’t even retrieve my beautiful treasures. I am discouraged but hopeful that soon, we will be able to go in and salvage our 500 year old mirror, our hand hammered drum and ceremonial supplies and at least some of the Art along with everything else we have collected over the years. When the time comes, I hope we will be able to count on the community we so faithfully served for so many years to help us accomplish this goal.

Ok folx. An update. It’s taken me a lot of time to make this decision, but now that I have, I want to let you know. We are permanently closing Akasha. As heart breaking as it is, I feel that my path lies in a different direction now. Akasha has stood in this mountain against all odds and in the face of open persecution and she was a place where people could go to feel safe and loved. I am saddened by the devastation that has occurred, not only to Akasha but to so many in our community but I must move on. Ulve Saga and the kindred will continue on, but I have to let Akasha go into the mists of time. I will miss having that place where I could see my friends and I hope that Akasha and I will not be forgotten.
