07/12/2015

6/29/2015- A vehicle was pulled over after it was found to be having difficulty staying in one lane. The driver was a 15-year-old with a learner's permit. The youth's father, who was seated in the passenger seat, told the officer "You think you were scared? Try sitting in the passenger here!"

03/28/2014

3/22/14- Three separate cases for public consumption for ma*****na were opened. All the individuals were contacted in the base area and will appear in court. Recreational consumption is permissible only in the privacy of your home.

3/20/14- A phone call was taken from a person who had two mountain bikes appear at his house in the 100 block of Butte Avenue. Call the Marshal's office to identify if you're missing a mountain bike.

3/19/14- A Texas male driver was cited for passing on double yellow lines. He was late getting his kids to ski school, and the traffic stop definitely did not help matters (a head-on collision could have been significantly worse).

3/17/14- A male, attempting to enter a bar, was confrontational and threatening to the doorman, which is generally not a good start if you want to get into the bar. He continued the same pattern of behavior with the Marshals. He was arrested for harassment and taken to jail.

3/08/14- A visitor from North Carolina attempted to ride the lifts using a relative's ski pass. The young man's charge of Deceptive Use of Ski Facilities requires an appearance before the judge and fines in the neighborhood of $350.

3/06/14- A local hotel contacted the police in order to turn over a gratuity left in a hotel room. While ma*****na tourism may be in effect in Colorado, you still can't fly home with your stuff.

3/09/14- A male called 911 reporting a gun underneath a parked vehicle on Sopris Avenue. Upon arriving to investigate, Marshals saw all the clues, including the orange accents on the gun, pointed to a plastic toy gun.

Almost Forgot:2/18/14-When you work with a friend you buy a ski house together. When you buy a ski house you play games. When you play games you over-indulge in adult beverages. When you over-indulge you talk trash. When you talk trash you end up in a fist-fight. When you fist-fight someone loses an eye. Don't lose an eye.

2/28/14- A Marshal made contact with an obviously intoxicated male. The person was fortunate the Marshal found a baby-sitter, saving him from a stay in detox in Gunnison.

2/27/14-This was one of the dog days of winter....A property owner filed a complaint about dog f***s and the future dog f***s stew, after attempting to contact the uncooperative dog owners himself.

03/11/2014

2/25/14- A call was taken from a pedestrian who said a vehicle was traveling at a dangerously high speed around town. The racecar driver was later located and warned accordingly.
