Ever heard of skijoring? 🐎🎿

Follow lifelong equestrian Britta Nancarrow as she trains alongside skier Mike King and snowboarder Sandra Hillen, pushing their skills to the limit as they prepare for their first skijoring competition.

Directed by Lindsey Hagen, this short offers an exciting look at one of winter's most unique sports and the athletes chasing the finish line.

Join us for a Knight at the movies 🎬

Award-winning filmmaker Ben Knight has spent his career telling stories about people who push the boundaries of adventure. This year, we'll see two of his latest works right here in Crested Butte.

The first film in this block is Best Day Ever, which follows adaptive mountain bikers Greg Durso and Allie Bianchi as they navigate disability with humor, attitude, and grit while finding friendship, independence, and joy in their rural Vermont riding community.

Next, we'll see Teeth to the Wind, which follows climbers Michael Gardner and Sam Hennessey through a season of climbing, friendship, and adventure across Alaska, Wyoming, and Nepal.

Both stories celebrate adventure, breaking boundaries, and finding joy along the way 🏔️🎬

As a thank you, volunteers get to see the film they’re working on and receive one ticket for every two-hour shift they work. It’s a great way to see some films, meet fellow film lovers, and be part of the festival community.

Join us for a summer in Cinque Terre, one of Italy's slices of paradise 🌊

The Siege of Paradise takes place in this small coastal community, where 3,000 locals share their cliffside villages with nearly 4 million tourists each year.

Through six lives, the film explores the tension between a community, the beauty that draws people there, and the tourism economy that keeps it going. From a young mayor and an ageing winegrower to a fisherman, a restaurateur, and two influencers searching for something beyond the perfect photo.

Through their stories, we get an intimate look at a place caught between preserving what makes it special and making a living from it.
