What a FANTASTIC end to our school year!! Congratulations on a really great Spring Concert! Every single song (strong, confident, & with musical intentionality/dynamic contrast) was a SUCCESS for each ensemble - Beginning (3rd&4th), Treble (5th), Concert (6th), and Chorale (7th&8th), and all together. Spring semester has so many performances (festivals/contests/showcases/concerts) and seeing/hearing them improve each time and them seeing/hearing themselves improve is AMAZING!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! The Concert Choir (6th Grade) and Treble Choir (5th Grade) participated in the IESA Choir competition today.
Both groups sang incredibly well and received very positive feedback from the judges. Concert Choir received a Division 1 (the highest possible) and Treble Choir received a Division 2 (the second best) even though they received very similar complimentary and positive feedback. 🎵🎶

The Richland Chorale (7th/8th) performed at Hinsdale South for IGSMA State on Saturday - they received an EXCELLENT rating (just 1 point from a Superior) and very good feedback from their clinician specifically on their attention to musical detail. Also, so wonderful to see such a strong showing of families in the audience!

Six 4th graders attended their first choir festival last Saturday at the ILMEA Elementary Music Festival at Liberty JH under the direction of Mr Ron Korbitz. They had a great time and did so well at the performance at the end of the morning! They put in extra time a few Fridays after school to learn their music (& how to READ MUSIC!) The future of Choir at Richland is bright with these 6 coming to 5th grade next year!! Congratulations!!!
