Regardless of how I dress, what I do, hobbies I enjoy, whether or not I have facial hair because I forgot to shave, I am a woman.
I may not LOOK or PRESENT or DRESS like what YOU think a woman should look or dress like, but that doesn't change the fact of what I AM.

I know I don't normally do Mutual Aid requests. These are good folks and they're really close to their goal and could use just a little more to get over the line.

These are awesome personal friends of mine, who I've known for at least 10 years or more. They're amazing allies, and Melanie also does a lot of animal rescue with her vehicle. This year has been really hard on them like it's been hard on me. If you are in any position where you could maybe throw a fiver or $10 spot at them, just a few of my friends could really make a difference and it'd mean the world to me. If not, I understand. Thanks for reading though. ❤️

This has been an especially rough Pride month this year. Every post, every event I've seen has been hate brigaded, just proving how much Pride is still very much needed as the show of strength, solidarity, and lifting our voices to pushback the ignorance, bigotry and hatred that has gotten so especially loud in recent years. But damn is it so exhausting.

Lately I have been musically focused on goth americana, dark country, murderfolk, whatever you wanna call stuff like Those Poor Bastards & Amigo the Devil. Which got me thinking about personal style & aesthetics, lumberjane fashion, appalachian queerness, tomboyness, butchness & so on. Total Rabbit hole.
Interestingly, I feel like all the fashion I'm interested in as tomboy/butch just sorta all starts to fall together into Great Depression - 1920's Dieselpunk vibes. Think Journey of Natty Gun or Audrey from Disney's Atlantis.. lots of suspenders, overalls, boots, newsboy hats, brim hats, etc. Also Frankie from Knights of Guinevere.. There's just something about the functionality, the substance, the solidity, the practicality, the realness and authenticity that appeals to me.

Probably gonna be picking up more suspenders and newsboy caps.

Tw: Death, threats, trans murder.

You cannot convince me that the Recent Terrorism Policy Screed "We will find you and K*ll you," and the recent m*rder of Juniper Blessing isn't related, even if just in time proximity. Just as everyone knows Trump incited Jan 6, and his cult eats up his words with a spoon and takes marching orders from them, you can't tell me this isn't the start of an even more pronounced rise in violence to trans people coming. There's reasons people (myself included) have been urging folks to get armed in some fashion, learn some form of self defense, learn safety tactics, train, practice, engage in situational awareness, and just be observant, because this is going to continue and it's going to get worse.

The fact that the bots and the phobes are out in droves comparing this to Kirk and gleefully engaging in her death is abhorrent.
I hate it here.

Edit: I feel since I did share the viral image I have a due diligence to share facts when necessary and corrections when needed. Or clarifications. Snopes has analysed the post and image on the left and concluded that it's been edited to put together passages from different portions of the document to infer context. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-white-house-death-trans-rights-advocates/

However, after reading Snope's analysis and also the full document, I feel they're *really* downplaying the seriousness of it. In effect, saying "Well, the part of the document that 'We'll find you and kill you' was specifically just talking about violent cartels and political criminals, they didn't use transgender in that specific passage. The fact that transgender is ALL OVER THE REST OF THE DOCUMENT DOESN'T MEAN THEY WILL VIOLENCE THE TRANSES." *cue eyeroll*
