We have a covered bridge in Del Norte. Probably the next closest one is central OR. This is Howland Hill coming into the Park from 199. Edit: Read the comments. More covered bridges around than I knew.

Gorgeous day in the Redwoods.

This was the last time I traveled the Smith. I need to go again. Tip! Wear hiking boots and use an inflatable boat! I had the kids in inflatables and I took my rigid Kayak. I was the only one experienced.... And I got dumped 6 times on the trip. Rigid does not flex through the rapids light an inflatable does. GOOD TIMES IN THE REDWOODS. It really was a great trip.
