Spatial and Temporal Modes
The fundamentals that define where the poi are in space.
XYZ Axis (Wheel, Wall, Ceiling, Floor)
Points: A specific location where the poi heads point to positions on the circle, usually in box and/or diamond position.
Cross Point: A specific location where the poi head path crosses the body from native side to non-native side and back.
The fundamentals that define where and when the poi move in relation to each other.
Same Position , Same Direction: Both poi move in sync, same rotation direction.
Same Position, Opposite Direction: Both poi move in sync, mirroring each other.
Split Position, Same Direction: Poi 180° apart, same rotation direction.
Split Time, Opposite Direction: Poi 180° apart, opposite rotation directions.
The fundamentals that define where the pivot points are in relation to the hand and arm.
Static Spin: Pivot point of the poi at the handle or fingers.
Extension: Pivot point at the shoulder.
Isolation: Pivot point half way between the handle and the head of the poi.
Point Iso: Pivot point at the head of the poi.
The fundamentals that define where the poi are in relation to the body.
Native side: Poi is on the same side of the body as the hand holding it.
Non-native side: Poi is on the opposite side of the body as the hand holding it.
Frontside: Poi is spinning in front of the body.
Backside: Poi is spinning behind the body.
Inversion: Poi is spinning in between the arms.
Cross Point (alternative definition): A specific point where the heads, tethers, hands, and/or arms cross each other.
