This was one of our favorite moments of this year’s contest. Jim and Ann Mapes are celebrating 72 years of marriage this year and Pete Butler and Jack Jones played their song. It reminded us of why we celebrate music and how much meaning it carries. We can only imagine the memories this song brings back when you’ve been dancing together for more than 72 years.

It’s almost time! We’re still on for 10 am at the Crawford City Park for the Peabody Hale Fiddle Contest and Music Festival. Jack Jones and Pete Butler are back as emcees and entertainment. It’s a hot one, so bring plenty of water and your lawn chair so you can find the shade! Looking forward to seeing you there!

🎻 🎶 See you at 10 am tomorrow at the Crawford City Park! Bring your lawn chair and plenty of water! We’ll have some vendors and concessions, and don’t forget the quilt show. Then stay for the jam session in the park or the bull riding at the arena tomorrow evening! It’s a full day in Crawford!
