WomensWork is on the Map for Women+ on the Edge of Democracy .

54 theaters and organizations from across 30 states have committed to staging democracy, and we won’t stop there. It is our vision that every state participates in this national conversation. Don’t see your state listed? Head to our bio and sign up today to host a reading to put your state on the map.

Each organization will shape its own custom event around the more than 30 plays written by Pulitzer, Tony and Emmy Award winners and Olivier and Oscar nominees in response to the questions:

What is the current state of democracy in America?
What can history, global context, or futurism offer us in this pivotal moment?

Some events will feature one or two plays, while others will present the entire anthology over the course of one day. All events are happening between Oct 23–Nov 3, 2026.
