The Yvette Dance Studio of Performing Arts has been serving Cranford and surrounding areas for over 50 years, making it an anchor in the community. Students have gone on to dance on Broadway, in NYC ballet companies, Las Vegas, and more. Established in 1954, The Yvette Dance Studio is dedicated to the proper teaching of dance in all its forms to children and adults. During the yearly demonstration

, parents, relatives and friends are invited to a public school auditorium, free of charge, to watch their children perform. Our yearly demonstration, created in our Studio is so unique and has proven so successful that others schools around the country have adopted it. We have only the finest teachers, all who have had professional careers in dance, theater, and the performing arts.

We are thrilled to announce a brand new faculty member for our 2026-2027 season! We would love to welcome David Strobbe to our ballet and pointe faculty 🩰 Read more about Dr. David Strobbe below ⬇️

Originally from Canada, Dr. David Strobbe has travelled the world as a principal ballet dancer in companies such as Hong Kong Ballet, Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theater, and Smuin Ballet. He took his performing expertise to musical theater and performed on the stages of Walnut Street Theater, Maine State Music Theater, and the Fulton Theater. Dr. Strobbe successfully transitioned to performing arts administration as a way to support and give back to the arts community that allowed him to pursue his own passion for the arts. Dr. Strobbe worked at the Metropolitan Opera in artistic administration before moving to The Juilliard School as a Production Manager. After completing his doctorate in Transformative Leadership in Higher Education, he teaches Creative Thinking at Montclair State University.
