Some nights heal you and this was one of them for me. We had decided not to host a summer concert because we are overwhelmed at work, life is hard, time is limited and we have a "If we cannot do something perfect, we cannot do it all" philosophy. Sitting in The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, listening to my two dear friends sing together changed my mind. We became friends because of Smith Lake Concert Series and without them this concert series would not exist. Liz Longley and Maggie Rose are the heart of Smith Lake Concert Series and are at the center of everything we have done here. This night reminded me that I don't have to be perfect. I just have to show up, as I am and share time with people I love. We hope to do that with you this summer!
