Oh my goodness, I must be getting old because the emergence of this butterfly made me SO emotional!!

This process has been so crazy to watch the past few days. A chrysalis is OTHERWORLDLY!!! It’s golden specks??!! The layers of symmetrical alien like separations in its structure ….and then her emergence!! 😱😱. (I turned my antique jewelry case in my studio into her birthing chamber 🖤❤️‍🔥🤘)

Absolutely astonished by her. She hung out on me for a little bit before taking flight up into the pines where she landed in the sun and continued to understand her wings.

I got to design this super meaningful tattoo for my client who has waited literal years for this …AND…it’s her FIRST tattoo!

She had some very important specifics to make this super unique and personal to her and her life.

The scene is from her home , overlooking Barre Pond. She really wanted to emulate the fading layers of the landscape, having this be the focal point of the design.

She wanted nature that represented Vermont, foraging and her homestead and farming upbringing and lifestyle, specifically using some black eyed Susan’s. As a way for these florals to tell the story of her heritage, she wanted them emerging from the pages of a book.

I chose some Red Clover , blueberries, Queen Anne’s Lace and a fern.

I love how this has all pulled together for her. I’m super proud!

I have been so grateful to all my new clients that have been traveling to get a tattoo from me lately, making a Northeast Kingdom trip out of it!

My client came from near Brattleboro, spending the night in Stowe with her daughter who traveled from Rutland.

Susan Caffery has been wanting a tattoo from me for so long and snagged a spot last winter. (Books will open again in the NewYear!)

Her requests were birth flowers for April, May, October and November. Along with a little touch of lace and a small skull. Maybe some lace that looks like spiderwebs. 😍😍😍❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥☠️🕸️

Checkout the first session on this custom beauty. Sooooo unique!! I even used Wild Species Tulips to steer away from the popular more recognizable variety.

This is her biggest tattoo she has now and I can’t wait keep adding on.

Super proud of this session, adding color into a tattoo I did on one of my long time friends from Jersey. Christina Meerholz 🖤🤘The original tattoo was done in 2021 while she was on a trip with friends from Jersey up this way.

Well, she made the trip again and I was so stoked to catch up and update this beauty for her. I also hand drew some new ferns down the backside of her arm.

Finally got my hands on this piece I started over 4 years ago!

We started with this Fire Department piece , still need to add in his retirement date and rank.

We were focused on all the detail in this black and grey American Flag backdrop!

I’m super super proud!

Next session I will do a little touch up in the fire dept. crest and add stitching into the flag!
