Holy cow, it was a record-setting night for the Community Special Athletes Organization at their annual Coweta Fall Festival Dessert Auction! Thanks to generous supporters in the audience, they raised just over $28,000!

Those funds will be used for competition fees and travel/lodging expenses as they hone their skills at events leading up to the Oklahoma Special Olympic Games in Stillwater next May.

Congratulations, CSAO!

On behalf of the Coweta Chamber of Commerce - Oklahoma, we extend our gratitude and appreciation to members and advisors of the Coweta High School Academic Team, Mock Trial Team and E-Sports Team for their help during the 51st Annual Coweta Fall Festival presented by Brown's Funeral & Cremation Service. As a community service project, these dedicated young people willingly gave their time to make sure that youngsters were buckled in safely on the children’s rides along the midway.

We are super proud of their effort, and their hard work did not go unnoticed! Mr. Schultz, Mrs. Schultz and Mr. Perry, thank you for your leadership in overseeing these hard-working students. You ALL represent Cowetahstigers exceptionally well!

On Wednesday, we were honored to present contributions to each group that will be used to offset entry fees and travel costs for their competitions and to help with any purchases they may need for their respective seasons.

Thanks also to SERVPRO of Mayes and Wagoner Counties and Coweta Casino Hotel for keeping these students and sponsors hydrated throughout the weekend. We appreciate you!!

When Mother Nature gives you one of the hottest seasons in Oklahoma history, you commemorate it on a t-shirt and auction it off during the Coweta Fall Festival to raise money for student scholarships! Following Friday's Coweta Special Athletes Organization auction, we put this one-of-a-kind shirt designed by Alex Hughes with Outline Print Co on the auction block and it raised a $1,000 bid from Nico Turner with Sun Manufacturing. Thank you to all who participated in the bidding process!

Pictured with Nico are Coweta Chamber of Commerce - Oklahoma Executive Director Christy Wheeland and Chamber Board Member Carla Holtz with Titan Title & Closing, LLC - Coweta.
