Chimney Park Access to and play in a natural setting for all regardless of ability. Our goal is to get children and families with all levels of abilities into nature.

Friends of Newton Parks started with a dream to create access to a beautiful, natural, historically significant sight behind our amazing library and Health Center in Covington, GA.

🎄Thank you to everyone who came out to support the park last night through your ticket purchase, by volunteering, singing in a chorus, attending with your service organization, or coming as a supporter and friend of the park. A truly magical holiday evening was enjoyed by all. Post your photos for us to see!

Reminder: the lights are on in the park every evening (6-9 pm) this month, please be respectful of the decorations when visiting the park. Happy holidays to all.

🎅Santa will be in the park from 6-7:30pm
🎄The park will shine with thousands of twinkling lights
🌭Volunteers and park supporters prepare refreshments, available while supplies last
🎶 Local choirs will entertain with sounds of the season

Due to the rain predicted for tomorrow, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Fairy House Festival. We are not able to reschedule our festivals, given the amount of volunteers and vendors who all come together to make this beloved event possible.

We encourage you to continue to come to the park (and even build and bring a fairy house to leave in the park for fairies and park visitors)!

We hope to see you in the park soon! 🧚
