What a fun night repping OutReels Cincinnati at the HOLLYWOOD HIGHLIFE Oscar viewing Party at the Contemporary Arts Center. The benefit is a collaboration of several great film organizations in Cincinnati that celebrates and uplifts independent filmmaking. We were honored to speak about OutReels Cincinnati and our mission of education, enlightenment and entertainment. We believe that telling stories of the LGBTQ+ community are important. Our stories matter. Representation matters. Visibility matters. We matter. 🏳️‍🌈

Two weeks ago tonight, we were busy making final preparations for our Opening Night of OutReels Cincinnati 2025, happening the next day. Now as we button up 2025, we are able to look back and reflect on what happened.

What happened was:
*We screened 25 LGBTQ+ films from around the
world
*Our community gathered to watch, to listen and
to discuss.
* We celebrated 14 years of “Sharing the Stories
of OUR Community”.
*Filmmakers explored the Queen City
*We learned about the important mission of
the Ohio Le***an Archives.
*Friendships were made, others were deepened.
*Laughter, conversations and good food was
on the menu at our Filmmakers Brunch at
Blinkers Tavern in Covington
*Seeds were planted for future projects and
collaborations.
*We held an enlightened and spirited discussion
at our Young Filmmakers Meet Up.
*Ties were strengthen and the support was
heartwarming from our friends at
Women In Film Cincinnati and the
Cindependent Film Festival.
*We watched two films produced by two young,
local filmmakers.
*We listened as filmmakers shared this stories.

In a nutshell, folks gather to be in community, to watch films, to be entertained, to be enlightened and to say, WE AND OUR STORIES MATTER.
